Future Management
Via Algarviana is an infra-structure with its own characteristics, that needs regular surveillance and maintenance, especially of all the permanent equipment installed, the signalling and the vialibility of the path in specific areas. Throughout time, perhaps we will need to create other alternatives in certain stretches of the path, namely in order to allow the connection to other walking paths that may in the meantime be installed.
The development of Via Algarviana as a real "stadium", favourable for the practice of several activities, means a constant promotional effort and the search for new solutions and improvements. It will be very important to encourage the creation or renewal of leisure areas, the selling of local products, small camping areas or even real camping, restaurants and conventional accommodation.
The management of all this work; which will start exactly on the official Via Algarviana opening day to the public, shall include a professional structure that will best use and make profitable, at the beginning of this project, all the means that shall be made available by a potential vast group of organizations ( municipalities, regional entities, local associations, companies, etc.), so that later, the Via can find its own subsistence resources. The characteristics of this structure are still open, being incumbent on the several participants on the process to find the best worthtrusty and sustainable solution
