POM2008

The Portugal "O"-Meeting (POM) is a four-day International Orienteering Competition organized by Portuguese clubs every year, usually around the Carnival weekend.

POM 2008 will take place from the 2nd until the 5th of February of 2008 inthe Algarve. It comprises two Middle Distance Event, one Middle/LongDistance event and one Long Distance Event. The Long Distance Event of Day 2of POM 2008 is included in the WRE series.

Algarve is a popular tourist destination because of its sun, beaches, golfresorts, beauty of its scenery, and tasty food. As we intend to show you, inaddition to all of these, it can also be an excellent environment for thepractice of Orienteering.

The two Organizing Clubs of POM 2008 --- CIMO (Clube Ibérico de Montanhismoe Orientação) and J.D.F (Juventude Desportiva das Fontainhas) are delightedto organize this special event for you and will do our best to make it afirst class sporting and social event. We will be available at all times tohelp you make the best of your time in Portugal.
